love these!

i want to make this, but i'm not sure if i should make it with the yarn i have. do i need to use the yarn they suggest?

amy?
kintea?

is anyone out there?

I dont know what you have on hand but I would suggest making these would a soft wool or wool blend, without any texture. Similar to what is shown in the pattern. When you are following a pattern, you need to find yarn that is the same gauge and kneedle size as the pattern. If not, the garment won't fit.

you can improvise, it just needs to be same gauge. on all all yarn packaging, kneedle size and gauge is listed. gauge is number of stitches per inch. the packaging usually has a 4x4 inch gauge diagram. you can use a different gauge yarn but then you have to do knitting math and re-formulate your pattern. when in doubt, ask. bring in your pattern and ask for help finding yarn.
